New Campervan Launch: Citroën Type Holidays

Citroën has unveiled a new concept campervan, the Type Holidays, which is now available to order as of early July 2025. This compact and stylish campervan is a modern take on the classic Citroën H Van of the late 1940s, while also showcasing Citroën's heritage.

The Type Holidays, designed by Italian coach-builder Caselani, stands out with its height of just over 6 feet, allowing it to accommodate four adults comfortably. The front seats can swivel, maximizing rear cabin space and providing a more spacious interior.

The campervan boasts a pop-up roof, which allows enough room for standing upright inside the van. This feature, combined with the manual pop-up roof, makes the Type Holidays a practical choice for those who value space and comfort.

The Type Holidays is equipped with a kitchenette, complete with a sink, fridge, and stove, ensuring that you can prepare meals on the go. For colder periods, a Webasto heater keeps the interior warm. Additionally, the campervan includes a 25L freshwater tank linked to a shower head and a detachable toilet, making it a self-contained living space.

Storage options in the Type Holidays are plentiful, with various cupboards and a foldable table. The campervan also offers two distinct sleeping areas: one in the rear bench seat and one in the pop-up roof.

The Type Holidays, powered by a 2.0-litre, 180PS diesel engine, is a compact version of the Citroën SpaceTourer MPV. It features twin sliding rear doors and a sliding rear seat bench that can fold into a double bed or be removed entirely. The cabin side unit includes storage cupboards, a 16-litre fridge, a sink, and a twin-burner stove.

As Citroën describes van life as a unique way of traveling, the Type Holidays is designed to stand out from the crowd. The estimated price for the Type Holidays is approximately £55,285, making it competitively priced for its segment, especially compared to similar models like the Volkswagen California Coast, which is around £15,000 more expensive.

While the Type Holidays is currently available to order, it is not yet available for purchase as it is still a prototype. Citroën's website will provide updates on the availability of the Type Holidays.

In addition to the Citroën Type Holidays, another modern campervan worth mentioning is the Starlink camper, named T-Model. This camper sleeps four to five and offers internet connectivity, but it is not related to the Citroën Type Holidays.
