Berlin Celebrates 200 Years of Museum Island with Three-Day Festival
The historic Museum Island in Berlin, Germany, marks its bicentennial this weekend with a three-day cultural extravaganza. From May 30 to June 1, 2025, the UNESCO World Heritage site will open its doors to visitors, inviting them to explore six museums and immerse themselves in a rich array of activities.

"Attention Ali's," a project by the youth council of the State Museums, aims to engage young visitors in shaping the museums of the future.
The festival offers free guided tours to learn about the historical, architectural, and collectional facets of the museums on Museum Island. Surprise elements are woven throughout the festival, ensuring an exciting experience for all attendees.
There will be a UNESCO World Heritage Day ceremony on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 11 am. The festival will also feature the premiere of a new ZDF/arte documentary about Museum Island.
