"Tourism [brings] numerous advantages to a country, and we aim for Afghanistan to reap all the benefits it has to offer."

Plagued by international isolation due to the Taliban's oppressive measures towards women and girls, Afghanistan is grappling to attract foreign investment. But, the alluring prospects of tourism have caught the government's eager eye.

"Tourism currently provides us with substantial revenue, and we anticipate future growth in this sector," Jamal explained, acknowledging the money spent by visitors trickles down to impact numerous layers of society, rather than concentrating within government pockets. "We dream of a thriving economic juggernaut that uplifts our nation, contributing significantly to our national economy."

Tourist visas are readily available, and flights from major transit hubs like Dubai and Istanbul run multiple times a week. The government has even established a training institute, exclusively for male job-seekers in the hospitality and tourism industry, to polish their skills and improve tourist experiences and local tourism services.

Although travel advisories still caution against traveling to Afghanistan due to safety concerns and the Taliban's stringent governance, the country's tourism sector is experiencing a slow but noticeable comeback.
