Three Historic Buildings Transformed into Luxury Hotels

Three historic buildings have been transformed into luxury hotels, offering unique experiences and high-end amenities. In Porto, Palacete Severo, a former architect's mansion, now boasts 20 rooms. Meanwhile, Palazzo Ottaviani in Florence has been converted into serviced apartments by Lungarno Hotels, chaired by Leonardo Ferragamo. In Kavala, Greece, the Ottoman madrassa complex Imaret has reopened as a hotel following restoration.

Palacete Severo, designed by architect Paulo Melo Alves, retains its eight domed suites and original offices, now serving as sitting and dining rooms. The hotel in Florence, Palazzo Ottaviani, features apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms, with the largest boasting a terrace for cocktails. Its interiors, crafted by Luigi Fragola, blend art deco softness with masculine elements using deep blue velvet sofas and polished-metal tables. Imaret in Kavala offers a minimum five-day stay, inclusive of cultural excursions, meals, and amenities. All three hotels offer spa facilities, with Imaret featuring a Turkish hammam and Himalayan salt room, and Palacete Severo boasting a garden pool.

These restored hotels, each with its unique history and design, provide luxurious stays in remarkable settings. Palacete Severo and Palazzo Ottaviani offer flexible accommodation, while Imaret presents an all-inclusive cultural experience. Each hotel promises a memorable visit, combining rich heritage with modern comforts.
