The Leeway, a newly renovated boutique luxury motel, has opened for its first full season in the Catskill Mountains. Located a two-hour drive from New York City, it offers a unique blend of modern comfort and outdoor recreation.
The motel, nestled in an open meadow by Esopus Creek, provides uninhibited access to the water for fly fishing, swimming, and wading. Guests can enjoy a large fire pit, camping grills, and an open meadow for outdoor games. Each custom-designed room comes with an eat-in kitchen, high-end appliances, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a smart TV, with some rooms featuring private terraces and gas fireplaces.
The Leeway offers complimentary yoga classes and use of outdoor equipment during stays. It's also dog-friendly, with a one-time $75 pet fee. The property underwent a complete renovation, with interior design by Andrew Cohen of Field Study Studio and architecture by A+C. Guests can reach the motel via Amtrak train to Rhinecliff or Trailway buses, with the Mt Tremper stop a twenty-minute walk away. Electric vehicle charging stations are available on-site.
The Leeway is conveniently located near Phoenicia, Woodstock, and Kingston, providing guests with a variety of dining, shopping, and event options. To celebrate its opening, the motel offers a complimentary third night on mid-week stays using the promo code GREEN.
