Thanh Hóa Province Sees Thai Visitor Boom
Thailand, a key market for Thanh Hóa Province, has seen a significant increase in visitors from Thailand in recent years. The province hosted a conference in 2024 to further boost tourism from this key market.
In 2024, nearly 3,000 Thai visitors explored Thanh Hóa Province, marking a 5.4% rise from the previous year. This positive trend continued into 2025, with around 1,900 Thai visitors in the first nine months, an 11.8% increase from the same period in 2024.
The province's tourism promotion efforts included a conference attended by over 40 Thai travel companies and media outlets. To showcase its attractions, Thanh Hóa Province organised a Thai farm trip and a culinary festival. The province has also welcomed Thai travel firms and media delegations for product surveys in recent years.
Thanh Hóa Province's strategic focus on the Thai market is paying off, with a steady increase in Thai visitors. Through targeted promotion and events, the province aims to attract even more visitors from Thailand in the coming years.
