Teltow's Cabbage Festival Kicks Off with Local Delights and Family Fun
The Teltower cabbage festival, a celebration of the local cabbage delicacy, is set to take place on the meadow at the Röthepfuhl in Teltow's Ruhlsdorf district. The event, which marks the start of the cabbage season, will offer a large market, entertainment program, and various cabbage dishes. The festival is organized under the new mayor of Teltow, Andre Freymuth, who was elected in September 2025.
The festival, known as the Kohlfestspiele, will run from 12 noon to 6 pm. Visitors can enjoy a colorful stage program, musical entertainment, and traditional arts and crafts. Regional specialties, including various cabbage dishes, will be available for tasting. For the little ones, a kids' paradise awaits with face painting, bouncy castles, and trampolines.
The cabbage prince couple will also be present at the festival, adding to the festive atmosphere. To ensure easy access, organizers advise using public transport. A free shuttle bus will be available from Teltow S-Bahn station to the festival site.
