The Carnival Committee's Andreas Picker and Mayor Breuer lauded the aid forces, including the police and municipal authority, at the central station after the Mardi Gras procession. As was the case last year, no sexual harassment or assault complaints were lodged this year. The police ensured safety on the streets, ran numerous vehicle checks, and examined the roadworthiness of drivers. An inebriated individual attracted the police's attention while driving, but no officers were harmed during resistance incidents this year.
The Neuss police district remains optimistic with the many responsible attendees that contributed to a peaceful carnival Sunday and the other events within the district. They express their appreciation to everyone who exhibited responsible behavior and helped to keep vandalism and violence at bay, resulting in a joyful and peaceful festival.
