Deputy Omsk City Council Member Alexei Provozin Goes On a Horseback Riding Vacation in Altai

Omsk City Council deputy Alexei Provozin recently shared images from his holiday in Altai on his "VKontakte" social media page, indicating that he traveled there in May, before the full swing of the peak tourist season.

In a post, Provozin communicated his enthusiasm for the timing of his trip, stating that the serene landscape, devoid of tourists but adorned with blooming wildflowers, makes for an ideal horseback riding adventure of five days. His social media page is replete with posts centered around horseback riding.

Alexei Provozin ranks among the longest-serving members of the Omsk City Council, currently overseeing the committee on economic development.

For those planning a horseback riding vacation in Altai, particularly in the Altai Tavan Bogd region, the best time to visit appears to be just before the tourist season peaks, typically occurring during the heart of summer months (mid-June to August). Anticipated advantages include cooler weather, greener landscapes, and fewer crowds.

Leaving slightly early provides the opportunity to witness the nomadic summer migration, as well as enjoy horseback riding, trekking, and interactions with local herders’ families, all while trails remain in good condition and the locals maintain a high level of hospitality.

It should be noted that arriving just before mid-June helps to avoid a surge in international and domestic tourists, primarily during July and August.

In essence, early to mid-June offers the perfect conditions for a serene, less crowded, and picturesque horseback riding vacation in Altai.

  1. Alexei Provozin's choice of traveling for horseback riding in Altai in early June aligns with his stated preference for a lifestyle that blends travel adventures with sports, such as equestrian activities.
  2. For individuals seeking a travel experience that combines a tranquil environment, horseback riding, and a unique cultural immersion, the Altai region in June might offer an ideal lifestyle destination.
