NYC's Trick-or-Streets 2025: 137 Car-Free Streets, Two Weeks of Halloween Fun

New York City is preparing for a spooktacular news event this Halloween season. Trick-or-Streets 2025, a two-week festival, will transform 137 city streets into car-free, festive news spaces filled with activities for everyone, from October 17 to October 31. The festival promises a wide range of entertainment. Expect live music and performances, interactive shows, harvest and Halloween-themed activities, seasonal arts and crafts, and Instagram-worthy photo ops. Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) will also return, adding more color and culture to the city news. NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez expressed that the program brings joy, culture, and greater safety for New Yorkers during the Halloween season.

Some signature events include Castleton Avenue in Staten Island on October 18, 61st Street Open Street in Queens on October 24, Franklin Avenue Open Street in Brooklyn on October 25, Manor Avenue in the Bronx on October 31, and St. Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan on October 31. These locations will offer unique experiences, turning the streets of NYC into one giant Halloween block party.
