Most Dull Careers Named
Superjob, a job-search service, conducted a survey among Omsk residents to find out which professions they consider the most boring. Economically active city dwellers participated in the research. Topping the "least preferred" list was the security guard, identified as dull by 16% of respondents. Close behind was the accountant (8%) and the janitor (5%). Other professions making the list were salespeople (4%), night watchmen (3%), office workers (3%), librarians (2%), gardeners (2%), and archivists (2%). Among other jobs deemed monotonous, found were garment attendants, political representatives, elevator operators, methodologists, conveyor operators, interpreters, programmers, and packaging workers.
Interestingly, 5% of survey participants declared that any job can be boring if it's not enjoyable. Furthermore, 15% are sure that there are no boring professions. Men were more likely to find security work and office jobs dull, while women more frequently associated boredom with accounting and sales. However, women were more likely to believe that there are no boring professions compared to men (19% versus 10%).
So there you have it, the folks in Omsk found security work and accounting to be among the least interesting professions. Keep that in mind if you're job hunting in the city!
