Morocco Expands Electronic Visa Service to Boost Tourism
Morocco is expanding its electronic visa (e-Visa) service, a move that aligns with its digitalization efforts and aims to boost tourism. Starting January 10th, citizens from four more nations can apply for an e-Visa to visit the country.
The new e-Visa system, launched in July 2022, has already processed around 70,000 applications. From January 10th, Azerbaijani, Guatemalan, Indian, and Jordanian nationals can join the list of countries eligible for the service.
The e-Visa offers two delivery options: Standard, which takes 3 working days and costs €70, and Express, which takes 1 working day but costs €100 more. Both options allow a maximum stay of 30 days and a validity period of 180 days. This expansion is part of Morocco's broader strategy to digitalize public administration services and support its tourism sector.
The expansion of the e-Visa service is expected to further increase the number of visitors to Morocco, making it easier and more convenient for tourists from around the world to explore the country.
