Minsk-to-Warsaw travel is unrestricted once more, albeit with a caveat to consider.
In response to the ongoing closure of the Poland-Belarus border, Belarusian transporters have announced new routes for travel from Minsk and Grodno to Warsaw. These new routes, offered by "Atlas," will travel via Latvia.
From September 22, passengers can depart from Grodno at 00:20 and arrive in Bialystok, followed by Warsaw at approximately 08:00. The journey on these new routes takes at least 11 hours, similar to the routes from Minsk. Passengers traveling from Minsk can depart at 15:20 and arrive in Warsaw at 01:30.
The ticket for this new route costs Br380, which is more expensive than those on routes that passed through Brest, where the non-stop trip currently costs Br350.
Foreigners traveling through Latvia on these new routes must fill out an online questionnaire on the eta.gov.lv website no later than 48 hours before the trip. After submitting the questionnaire, passengers must wait for an email confirming or denying entry.
The border crossings between Poland and Belarus, which were closed on September 12, 2025, remain closed due to the Russian-Belarusian military exercise "Zapad 2025" and security concerns. The Polish authorities have stated that the border will remain closed until full border security is restored, with no specific reopening date announced yet. The decision to reopen the border will be based on the information provided by the relevant services.
The closure of the Poland-Belarus border has forced Belarusian transporters to seek new routes for international travel. With the introduction of these new routes via Latvia, passengers now have an alternative option for traveling to Poland and beyond.
