Miami beach touring guide

Embracing minimalism isn't primarily about fashion and apparel for me. Rather, it's rooted in the four-word sentiment: Own less and simplify.

In the vibrant city of Miami, last week, the author embarked on a journey that echoed the four words summarising the minimalist lifestyle: Own less, travel more. The adventure began at The Raleigh hotel, a charming establishment within walking distance from The Raleigh hotel, known for its friendly and cool vibe, and unique quirkiness that made it feel authentic.

The pool at The Raleigh hotel was heavenly, providing a perfect respite from the Miami heat. The author felt as if they were living in a Wes Anderson movie, with the hotel's aesthetic offering a surreal and dreamy backdrop.

The author spent their days exploring the city and their evenings sampling the culinary delights that Miami has to offer. One such establishment was Restaurant Michael Schwartz, where the author indulged in delicious fish tacos. A visit to the restaurant was not an uncommon occurrence, as the author dined there at least once or twice a day.

Yardbird Southern Table + Bar, nestled in a cute neighbourhood, was another favourite. Across the street from Circle Art At Home, offering mid-century furnishings, Yardbird is famous for its chicken and waffles, and watermelon.

Cecconi's, located at the Soho Beach House, was a magical spot for dinner. With twinkle lights in the trees, one can also peek at the modern pool from behind the bar. Juvia, a fancy restaurant with skyline views and an in-house DJ, offered the perfect setting for a night out, especially as the sun was setting.

The Social Club at the Surfcomber, steps away from The Raleigh, offered giant upholstered sofas, an artistic vibe, and really good food. The author also discovered Orange Blossom, a small restaurant within walking distance from The Raleigh, known for its friendly and cool vibe.

The author did not take many outfit pictures during the trip, but did dress up a couple of times. A fringe dress worn by the author made her realise that she needs more excuses to dress up in her life.

Amy Rubin Flett's quote, "Once she stopped rushing through life, she was amazed how much more life she had time for," sums up the author's trip beautifully. The minimalist lifestyle, with its emphasis on experiences over possessions, allowed the author to fully immerse themselves in the Miami adventure, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
