Loreto Hosts Unique Adventure Triathlon in 2025
Loreto, a captivating town in Baja California Sur, will host the Nomadix Loreto Triathlon from November 14-16, 2025. Organized by Nomadix Adventure, the event promises a unique blend of adventure, culture, and wellness, set against the stunning backdrop of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and diverse terrain.
The triathlon will consist of three challenging yet rewarding courses. Athletes will begin with a 2.8-mile swim around Isla Coronados, an idyllic spot with crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life. Following this, they will embark on a 56-mile cycling route from Puerto Escondido to Misión de San Javier, taking in breathtaking desert and mountain vistas along the way. The event will culminate in a 15.5-mile trail run starting and finishing at the historic Misión de Loreto.
Participants will have the opportunity to camp under the stars at Juncalito and Misión de San Javier, immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region. Loreto, with its small-town character and vibrant cultural scene, offers the perfect setting for this adventure. Nonstop flights are available from major U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, and Tijuana International Airport, with shuttle transportation arranged from La Paz for participants.
