Firing Up the Adventure: Adria's New Supertwin Hits UK Shores
The awaited Adria Supertwin is making its grand UK debut at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC this week. This badass campervan, a product of the Mercedes Sprinter – a contender for the best van for a camper conversion – is poised to revolutionize UK roads, with four different models on the horizon, starting with the 6m-long SPB PT featuring a pop-top roof and a rear transverse bed.
The high-top version will also be available, while we can expect longer 700 SGX models with an inline drop-down bed, both with and without a pop-top, to join the party later.
Curious about what sets the Supertwin apart? It's the first UK campervan to flaunt Alde's nemesis, a state-of-the-art diesel heater.
This powerhouse is armed with a 2.0-litre 190bhp turbodiesel engine and comes standard with a 9-speed G-TRONIC auto gearbox. Standard features include high beam assist, LED high beam assist, hill start assist, blind spot assist, a reversing camera, an MBUX multimedia system, LED high-performance headlamps, halogen indicators, a leather steering wheel, and an illuminated step below the sliding doors.
Up for some upgrades? Optional extras include an All-Inclusive pack with carpets, a gas oven, a sprung mattress, electric front-door entrance steps, and an awning with LED lighting. A £3000 MB Luxury Pack adds a fancy radiator grille, a navigation system, a heated windscreen, Apple Car Play/Android auto integration, an auxiliary hot water heater, rear mud flaps, and lumbar support in the cab seats.
