Cross-Border Youth Film Competition Créajeune Kicks Off for 2025
The 18th edition of the cross-border youth film competition Créajeune is set to begin, inviting young filmmakers from the Greater Region to showcase their talents. The competition, which is open to children, young people, and young adults, is a platform for original work and encourages participation from residents of the cross-border regions, including parts of France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium.
Eligibility Criteria and Age Groups
The competition is typically divided into categories based on age, with the following age groups eligible for the 2025 edition:
- Children: Around 7 to 12 years old
- Young Teens: Around 13 to 16 years old
- Older Teens and Young Adults: Up to about 21 or 25 years old
- Young Adults: Up to about 29 years old
Participants must reside in the cross-border regions and fall within the specified age bracket for the competition year. Films can be made individually or in groups, with a maximum duration limit, such as short films.
Competition Details and Submissions

Films produced in 2024 or 2025 are eligible for participation. The best contributions will be shown and awarded at festivals in Saarbrücken, Metz, and Luxembourg.
