"Ice Skating Ensemble Debuts: Musical Performance Inside the Skating Club"
The Neuss Ice Skating Club is gearing up for an enchanting performance, as they prepare to present the Neuss Ice Fairy Tale. Based on Lewis Carroll's classic children's book, "Alice in Wonderland," this magical adventure on ice promises to captivate audiences of all ages.
Rehearsals for the show began during the summer holidays, with the figure skaters taking to an outdoor ice rink in the Sauerland for their main training and choreography. As the autumn holidays approach, daily practice continues from 6 am.
The production features a cast of around 170 figure skaters of various ages from the Neuss Ice Skating Club. The figure skaters consider the fairy tale events a real challenge, as they bring to life the fantastical world of Wonderland, complete with eccentric characters such as the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts.
The story follows Alice, who embarks on a thrilling journey after following a white rabbit into this whimsical realm. The show's themes revolve around courage, imagination, friendships, and being different.
Over 100 volunteer club members support the production, contributing to sets, costumes, technology, and organization. The show promises to be a visual spectacle, with choreographed scenes, music, lights, and elaborate costumes.
However, the exact location where the show is being staged has not been specified. The performance dates, on the other hand, have been announced. The Neuss Ice Fairy Tale will be performed on November 30th at 5 pm (premiere), December 6th, 7th, and 13th at 5 pm, and December 14th at 12 pm (matinee) and 5 pm.
The Neuss Ice Fairy Tale is set to be a magical experience, combining the beauty of ice skating with the charm of a beloved children's story. Whether you're a fan of "Alice in Wonderland" or simply looking for a captivating night out, this show is not to be missed.
