The Australian Creative Team
The creative minds behind the Maya the Bee franchise hail from Australia. Screenwriter Fin Edquist has a remarkable career in film and television, having crafted Maya the Bee, The Honey Games, and The Golden Orb. Fin has also written several animated features, including 100% Wolf and Blinky Bill, and served as a co-creator for the hit TV series The Secret Daughter.
Director Noel Cleary brings extensive experience to the table, working in film, TV series, and character animation. He directed Maya the Bee – The Honey Games (2018) and has worked on a variety of projects, including Blinky Bill - The Movie and Tashi.
Co-director Alexs Stadermann has an impressive history in feature film and television direction, spending many years at Disney. He was the Unit Director for Bambi II and Tarzan II, an Award-winning Supervising Animator on The Lion King 1 1/2, and a Senior Character Animator/SFX Supervisor on numerous Disney titles.
Since wrapping production on Maya, Alexs has taken on the role of Creative Director for Flying Bark, overseeing development on all feature film, television, and digital media projects. He co-directed The Blinky Bill Movie and Maya the Bee - The Honey Games. He's also directed Flying Bark's latest production, 100% Wolf.
