Gareth Edwards previews Jurassic World 4's intense dinosaur-centric action scenes
Following approximately three years of cinematic silence, the Jurassic World franchise is set to resurrect in 2025 with the film titled Revival. Despite continuing from the narrative of the previous trilogy, a fresh cast takes the limelight in this installation. In an interview with Empire Magazine, Edwards articulated the film's ambition to revisit the elements he cherished in the original Jurassic Park. Scarlett Johansson assumes the lead role as Zora, a former undercover operative, who goes to an isolated island to collect genetic samples of the three largest dinosaurs on Earth. Drawn to the assignment as a means to regain purpose after being discharged, Zora's pay guarantees her financial security. However, her desire to acquire dino DNA incites a moral awakening within her, causing her to ponder the moral implications of their actions, as Edwards elucidated. Adding to the turmoil, a civilian family becomes shipwrecked on the same island. Now, the responsibility to fulfill their mission, protect the family, and prevent them from becoming dinosaur's meal lies on Zora and her squad.
Edwards hinted that failing to include certain dinosaurs would be a "sin against cinema." As fans eagerly wait for Jurassic World Revival to hit theaters on July 2, 2025, speculations about which dinosaurs will feature abound.
