In the heart of Germany, the city of Ingolstadt is gearing up to showcase its unique historical and cultural heritage through a series of local tourism initiatives. These initiatives aim to provide authentic and engaging experiences that showcase Ingolstadt’s architectural landmarks, historical sites, and cultural narratives.

The city's medieval old town, with its Hangman Bridge, Tallow Building, and St. Sebald Church, forms the backdrop for private and group guided walking tours. These tours offer in-depth storytelling that delves into the city's medieval heritage and architectural highlights.

The "Top Talk Tourism" event, held in Ingolstadt, brought together representatives from various industries, including the hotel and catering industry, IHK, Audi, Ingolstadt Village and IN-City, as well as municipal authorities. The event was a platform for discussing local tourism and its potential for growth.

Mayor Dr. Michael Kern emphasized the need for many strong partners to make Ingolstadt's many treasures better known. He expressed his gratitude for the constructive exchange, interesting perspectives, assessments, and creative input from the experts. The consensus among the participants was that a joint initiative is needed to exploit the potential for local tourism in Ingolstadt.

In response, the city is taking steps to form informal working groups to address various topics related to local tourism. These groups will develop concrete measures to further enhance Ingolstadt's tourism offerings. With approximately 25 participants attending the "Top Talk Tourism" event, the city is confident that it has the right partners to make its many treasures better known.

From the "purity law" to the "Illuminati," Ingolstadt offers several unique selling points for local tourism. The city's rich history and cultural heritage are yet to be fully exploited, making it an exciting destination for those seeking authentic and engaging experiences.
