What The Hell Happened?
ATOUR confirmed that the peculiarities in flight scheduling by airlines meant delays and cancellations could persist, creating a domino effect. ATOUR urged tourists to check their flights, even if they hadn't been affected yet. Artem Korenevko, Rosaviatsiya's press secretary, reported that all airports in the Moscow air hub were currently functioning normally. However, they detailed the following restrictions which had been implemented:
- At Vnukovo, from 6:20 PM on May 6 to 4:08 AM on May 7
- At Sheremetyevo, from 1 AM to 5:30 AM on May 7
- At Domodedovo and Zhukovsky, the restrictions were lifted at 11:44 AM on May 7, having been in force the evening of May 6
Currently, only the airports of Yaroslavl and Kaluga continue to face limitations, as per Rosaviatsiya's representative's statements.
