Camper manufacturer Dethleffs revives Globetrails initiative, targeting a 2025 launch

Dethleffs, the renowned motorhome manufacturer, has announced a series of updates and new models for its Globetrail range in 2025. The changes aim to enhance flexibility, comfort, and space for users, with a focus on family-friendly options.

One of the key additions is a new model equipped with a drop-down bed at the rear, offering increased versatility for sleeping arrangements. This model is designed to cater to the needs of travellers seeking additional comfort and flexibility.

In addition to the new model, Dethleffs is also launching new overcab models, which are ideal for all-year-round touring and could appeal to families and those seeking extra space. While specific details about the heating systems for the 2025 models are not yet available, motorhomes from Dethleffs typically include heating systems suitable for year-round use, such as Truma or Alde systems.

The current Globetrail models, such as the Advantage 640 ES and Advantage 600 DS, continue to be offered. The Advantage 640 ES boasts a height of 2.65m, a maximum permissible weight of 3,499 kg, a load capacity of 569 kg, and a weight of 2,930 kg. It comes equipped with two beds, and the main bed measures 2m in length and 1.56m in width. The drop-down transverse bed at the rear provides a storage area that is 133cm high, suitable for a bicycle.

Meanwhile, the Advantage 600 DS features similar specifications, with a height of 2.65m, a maximum permissible weight of 3,500 kg, a load capacity of 546 kg, and a weight of 2,954 kg. It also offers two beds.

Dethleffs is also introducing special editions of its Just Camp low-profile range named Active models. These models come with exclusive features such as flush-fitting windows, a sun roof, cab blinds, an additional garage door, and a window in the habitation door.

Furthermore, the company is no longer dividing the Globetrail range into Classic or Advantage spec. Instead, it will feature just nine models, which will be variously based on a Citroen Relay, Fiat Ducato, or VW Crafter.

In other news, fellow Erwin Hymer brand Bürstner is also revealing new family motorhomes in its line-up. Information about a used Dethleffs Globetrotter XXL, a six-berth model with a huge garage, is available from Gentleman Jack.

The new Globetrail model, the 640HR, is 6.36m long and is based on a Fiat Ducato. It comes with an 84-liter fridge and offers an optional fifth berth that can be made out of the front dinette. The 640HR uses diesel heating for its motorhome heating system.

The Family A 7872-2, another new model, is based on a Fiat Ducato with an Al-Ko chassis. It sleeps six and features a transverse bed at the back, a double that can be made out of the front lounge, an overcab bed, and a 40cm deep double floor for all-year-round touring.

These updates and new models from Dethleffs are set to provide users with a wider range of options, catering to various needs and preferences. The company's focus on family-friendly options and all-year-round touring capabilities is a testament to its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers.
