Budget Airline GoAir Introduces Service to Singapore from Bangalore and Kolkata

Starting October 18, 2019, GoAir is taking flight to Singapore from two Indian cities, Bengaluru and Kolkata! That's right, you'll be able to jet off non-stop, four days a week from Bengaluru and three times weekly from Kolkata, as GoAir adds Singapore to its destination roster.
But wait, there's more! GoAir has also announced daily flights to its 25th domestic destination— Aizawl in Mizoram. As part of the Indian government's vision for connecting the Northeast, this new route is set to offer improved connectivity to a stunning, yet often overlooked, North-Eastern destination.
Jeh Wadia, managing director of GoAir, shared his excitement, expressing that the new flights to Singapore and Aizawl mark a significant milestone in the airline's history. He went on to discuss the potential for increased tourism between India and Singapore, as GoAir partners with tourism boards and organizations to further celebrate the cultural and leisure offerings of both countries.
GB Srithar, Regional Director at the Singapore Tourism Board, echoed this sentiment, welcoming GoAir and expressing excitement about the new flight routes. With two vital source cities, Bengaluru and Kolkata now connected, travel choices and options have expanded for Singapore-bound locals and tourists alike.
As for Aizawl, GoAir's daily flights will operate out of Lengpui Airport, situated about 32 kilometers from the city. Interested travelers should keep an eye out for flight G8 248, as it departs from Guwahati at 06:50 hours and touches down in Aizawl at 07:50 hours. The return flight, G8 249, departs from Aizawl at 08:40 hours and touches down in Guwahati on 09:50 hours.
