The Tourism Association of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (TMV) is gearing up for the fall season with a new campaign aimed at promoting tourism in Germany's northeastern region. The campaign, titled "Unwind and Recharge? Quick to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern," will be promoted both online and in print media.

The TMV anticipates around three million overnight stays during the fall season, as the tourism industry in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern continues to experience significant growth. In fact, in 2023, the region welcomed 8.0 million guests who booked 32.9 million overnight stays.

The campaign targets guests from across Germany, particularly those from the eastern states, encouraging them to take spontaneous trips to the northeast. It offers tips for various experiences, including crane-watching spots, yoga retreats, visits to castles, and health vacations.

Rostock, a part of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is expected to be a popular destination during the fall season. The region saw the second-highest numbers of guests and overnight stays since reunification in 2024, with the record year being in 2019, when there was a slight increase of about four percent compared to the previous year.

According to the latest guest survey by the TMV, the majority of guests come from Saxony. The association is bolstering the campaign with additional funds for the fall season to ensure a successful promotion of autumn tourism in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

For detailed information on the specific activities, travel packages, and key messaging themes included in the 2022 fall campaign, we recommend checking official Mecklenburg-Vorpommern tourism websites or press releases from autumn 2022, as they typically archive seasonal promotional campaigns.

The Community policy of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in tandem with the emphasis on vocational training, is vital to support the flourishing tourism industry and cater to the growing number of guests. With vocational training programs focusing on hospitality and tourism, the region ensures memorable experiences for every lifestyle, whether you're seeking a relaxed getaway or an adventurous travel experience.
