Autumn and winter seasons see the comeback of EasyJet's ambitious Flyer programme.
easyJet Announces Return of Fearless Flyer Courses
The British low-cost airline easyJet has announced the return of its Fearless Flyer courses, designed to help people who are afraid of flying to overcome their fear. The courses will be offered across eight UK airports over the next four months.
The easyJet Fearless Flyer course is delivered in three parts. The first part is a two-and-a-half-hour online ground session led by an easyJet captain. During this session, participants will learn practical anxiety management techniques from Lawrence Leyton, a phobia expert, and receive reassurance and winning techniques from senior easyJet pilots.
The second part is a one-hour preflight session via Zoom with the easyJet team. Participants can ask questions during this session with a pilot, Lawrence Leyton, and Mark Wein, the Fearless Flyer Course Director at easyJet. Mark, who used to have a fear of flying himself, now leads the course to help others overcome their fear.
The third part is a one-hour flight on an easyJet aircraft, supported by the Fearless Flyer team. easyJet staff provide reassurance and support throughout the entire program.
The course aims to combat concerns around flying, enabling even the most ardent aerophobe to overcome their fear. easyJet claims that more than 14,000 people have completed the course with a success rate of over 95%. Fiona Deans, who completed the course in May 2025, was able to fly again after 18 years. Fiona found the time to sit on the plane before and after the flight and talk with the pilots and crew invaluable.
Prices for the online course start at £89 per person, making it the UK's cheapest flying-phobia programme. easyJet encourages anyone with doubts about flying to book the course. Around one in ten people in the UK suffer from aerophobia, but some sources suggest that the figure could be as high as one in six.
The autumn and winter programme will be available at London Gatwick, London Luton, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Jersey. easyJet invites those who are afraid of flying to take the first step towards overcoming their fear and book the Fearless Flyer course today.
