The 10th International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair is set to take place from August 9 to 17, 2025, at the Eurasia Hall in Yenibosna, marking a significant cultural event in Istanbul. This annual fair, held in the heart of Turkey, stands as the largest international Arabic book fair held outside the Arab world, aiming to revive the Arabic language in Türkiye and strengthen cultural ties between Arab and Turkish communities.

This year, the fair adopts the theme "Arabic Lives On." The event promises a rich program blending tradition and modernity, attracting not only the growing Arab community residing in Turkey but also many Turkish citizens interested in the Arabic language and its sciences.

The fair is a nonprofit initiative and serves as a cultural hub for Arabic language enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities. Intellectual lectures, literary and poetry evenings, and book signing sessions are all part of the comprehensive cultural platform designed for Arabic language appreciation and cross-cultural engagement.

Moreover, the fair leverages Istanbul's unique role as a bridge between East and West. The "Language Corner" is supervised by specialists in Turkish language instruction, fostering interaction between recent learners of Turkish and foreign residents in Turkey.

An agreement among participating publishers ensures that readers at the fair will be able to purchase books at affordable rates. Special sections and promotional offers have been dedicated for this purpose.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9, at 11:00 a.m., will be graced by the presence of prominent Arab and Turkish figures, intellectuals, writers, journalists, publishing house representatives, and participating institution representatives.

The fair is organised by the International Association of Arabic Book Publishers, in coordination with the Turkish Publishers Association and the Union of Turkish Publishers. Universities and schools with strong ties to Arabic studies are invited to participate in the fair.

In addition, the fair acts as a cultural hub with a rich program not only for the local Arab community but also for Turkish citizens interested in Arabic language and literature, as well as Arab communities across Europe.

Mehmet Agirakca, the fair's general coordinator, expressed his enthusiasm for organising the 10th edition of the event, especially following the renewal of its visual identity. The fair is a testament to the enduring spirit of Arabic culture in Istanbul and beyond.
