American Express Centurion Lounge at SFO: A Premium Airport Experience
The American Express Centurion Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) offers a luxurious and comfortable space for travelers, providing an array of high-end amenities to make your departure or layover more enjoyable.
Located in Terminal 2, Concourse D, near gate D12, the lounge offers a variety of dining options, prepared by Chef Ravi Kapur. From first-class dining to an assortment of snacks like cookies, fresh fruit, popcorn, and sandwiches, there's something for every palate.
The lounge's premium bar offers a selection of cocktails such as Pisco Punch, Hebridian Hello, and Gin Basil Fizz, as well as a variety of California and international wines. For wine connoisseurs, the lounge features a new wine bar with Napa Valley wines, and a wine-tasting area where guests can explore different vintages.
Guests can take advantage of the lounge's amenities, including a member services desk, large flat-screen television, magazines and newspapers, an open kitchen, semi-private workspaces, high-speed Wi-Fi, a computer bar, and more. For those needing to freshen up, the lounge provides a shower suite.
To access the Centurion Lounge at SFO, all guests must be a cardmember of one of the following American Express cards: Platinum Card, Business Platinum Card, Centurion Card, Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card, or Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card. Upon arrival at the lounge, cardmembers need to present a valid Amex card, a boarding pass that shows a confirmed same-day travel reservation, and a government-issued ID.
The lounge underwent an expansion in the fall of 2022 and reopened in January 2023, adding new seating, a new bar, and a buffet line. The lounge's seating area includes a family room, ensuring that families with young children can enjoy the lounge's amenities comfortably.
Unfortunately, the SFO Centurion Lounge will be closed through 2027, with a temporary lounge opening at the former Terminal 2 Alaska Lounge on June 15, 2025. The temporary lounge will be open from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. every day.
Pets are welcome at the Centurion Lounge at SFO, but they must stay in their carriers and/or by your side at all times and are not allowed on any furniture in the lounge. Drinks are served every day from 10:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the lounge.
