Allwyn set to offer National Lottery games for self-service tills in Aldi's UK outlets
Aldi is stepping up its game by partnering with Allwyn to bring The National Lottery to its self-service checkouts across the UK. This makes Aldi one of the first retailers in the UK to offer this service. Now, customers can grab Lucky Dips for Lotto, EuroMillions, Thunderball, and Set For Life while shopping, or create bespoke tickets using their National Lottery Fast Pay card through self-scanning.
This move is a part of Allwyn's retail transformation strategy, aimed at adapting to the changing retail landscape and expanding the availability of National Lottery games for more customers. Aldi Communications Director, Richard Thornton, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We're always looking for ways to improve the shopping experience for our customers."
Allwyn Operations Director Jenny Blogg added, "This project has been a massive effort by the teams at both Allwyn and Aldi, and my sincere thanks must go to everyone involved." The expansion of availability will ultimately make The National Lottery accessible at every touchpoint in Aldi's customer journey.
