Airbus Secures Thai Air Force Deal for Two H225 Helicopters

Airbus Helicopters has secured a contract with the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) for two H225 multi-role helicopters. The deal, signed recently, will see the delivery of these aircraft in 2025. The RTAF has expressed confidence in Airbus, with Olivier Michalon, Executive Vice President of Global Business at Airbus Helicopters, expressing honour in the continued trust placed in the H225.

The RTAF already operates H225Ms and H135 military training helicopters, demonstrating a long-standing partnership with Airbus. The new H225s will enhance the RTAF's search and rescue (SAR) and emergency medical services (EMS) capabilities. Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul praised the H225M's performance and reliability in diverse missions. The delivery of the two H225s will be controlled by Airbus Helicopters in cooperation with Thai Aviation Industries, which will conduct the final assembly on site.

Worldwide, more than 360 H225s and H225Ms are in service, totalling nearly 980,000 flight hours. The addition of these two new H225s will strengthen the RTAF's ability to protect and serve the people of Thailand.

The RTAF's decision to acquire two more H225s underscores its commitment to enhancing its capabilities and serving its people effectively. Airbus Helicopters, through its partnership with Thai Aviation Industries, will ensure the delivery and final assembly of these helicopters, further solidifying the relationship between the RTAF and Airbus.
