Airbus Secures Deal with Thai Air Force for Two H225 Helicopters

Airbus Helicopters has secured a deal with the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) for two H225 multi-role helicopters. The agreement, signed in September 2025, demonstrates the RTAF's continued confidence in Airbus' products.

The RTAF, already operating Airbus Helicopters like the H225M and H135, will now add two more H225s to its fleet. These new helicopters will bolster the RTAF's search and rescue (SAR) and emergency medical services (EMS) capabilities. Olivier Michalon, Airbus Helicopters' Executive Vice President of Global Business, expressed pride in the RTAF's continued trust in the H225.

Air Chief Marshal Punpakdee Pattanakul commended the H225M's performance and reliability across various missions. The H225, with over 360 in service worldwide and nearly 1 million flight hours, has proven its worth globally. Thai Aviation Industries (TAI) will collaborate with Airbus Helicopters to complete the new H225s.

The RTAF's latest acquisition of two H225 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters will enhance its SAR and EMS services. With a proven track record and reliable performance, the H225 will strengthen the RTAF's capabilities, further cementing the long-standing partnership between the RTAF and Airbus.
