Aicher Holzbau Wins Bavarian Environmental Award for Timber Commitment
Aicher Holzbau GmbH, a timber construction company based in Regensburg, has been awarded for its commitment to environmental and climate protection. The company, founded in 1983, has been recognised for its efforts before, most notably in 2011.
The award, valid for three years, entitles Aicher Holzbau to use the official logo 'Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact'. The pact, a cooperation between the Bavarian State Government and business associations, provides a platform for sharing experiences, information, and funding opportunities for environmentally committed companies at www.umweltpakt.bayern.de.
Aicher Holzbau's commitment contributes to global sustainability goals and the Bavarian Climate Protection Act's aim of achieving climate neutrality by 2040. The company consistently uses dry wood and wood-based materials for solidity, durability, and effective building protection. This commitment has been recognised locally, with the company winning the timber construction prize of the district of Regensburg in 2004.
Bavarian State Secretary Tanja Schweiger awarded Aicher Holzbau GmbH for its operational environmental and climate protection. The company's dedication, from its early days as a sawmill to its current status as a leading timber construction company, has been consistently recognised and applauded.
