Accor Hotels Expands Its Portfolio, Making Treasure Island Its Largest Property Worldwide
In an exciting development for the hospitality industry, Treasure Island in Las Vegas has partnered with Accor's Handwritten Collection. This strategic move, marked by a franchise agreement signed in 2025 between Accor and Phil Ruffin, the owner of Treasure Island, marks Accor's first property in Las Vegas and makes Treasure Island its largest hotel worldwide, with 2,884 keys.
Treasure Island, a significant Las Vegas landmark known for its casino, dining, and entertainment, will now align with the Handwritten Collection brand. This brand is renowned for its emphasis on individuality, character, and a unique guest experience across its portfolio of curated hotels. The rebranding aims to maintain these core features while elevating the level of service and sophistication, appealing to new generations of guests seeking genuine hospitality in the entertainment capital.
The partnership enables Treasure Island to benefit from Accor's expansive services, including global sales and marketing, distribution, and exposure to Accor’s loyalty program, ALL Accor, which has over 100 million members worldwide. Expected changes after the integration include an enhanced guest experience shaped by the Handwritten Collection’s personalized approach, retention of Treasure Island’s iconic casino, dining options, and entertainment venues but with refreshed energy and sophistication, increased global visibility and marketing reach, and positioning Treasure Island for a "bigger and bolder future" within Accor's growing portfolio in the Americas.
Treasure Island continues to host Cirque du Soleil's Mystère and has recently earned a Four Green Globe certification from the Green Building Initiative. The property includes a 90,000-square-foot casino, spa, wedding chapels, event venues, and connects to Fashion Show Las Vegas. Rooms at Treasure Island come equipped with SensaTIonal beds, soaking tubs or whirlpools, and marble bathrooms, offering views of the Las Vegas Strip, Sphere, and Spring Mountains.
Thomas Dubaere, CEO of Accor Americas, has commented on the addition of Treasure Island to the Handwritten Collection, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Treasure Island to the Handwritten Collection. This partnership represents a significant milestone for us as we continue to expand our presence in the Americas and offer our guests an unparalleled hospitality experience."
The city where Treasure Island is located has the tagline 'What happens here, only happens here.' This partnership is a strategic move to combine Treasure Island's established presence with Accor's global hospitality expertise and brand support, fostering a renewed and elevated guest experience without fundamentally altering the property's distinctive offerings.
With Accor now operating more than 5,600 hotels across 110 countries, the collaboration between Treasure Island and Accor's Handwritten Collection is set to create a unique blend of classic Vegas and modern amenities, appealing to a wider audience and deepening Treasure Island's legacy in the entertainment capital.
The rebranding of Treasure Island, a renowned Las Vegas landmark, as part of Accor's Handwritten Collection will blend classic Vegas ambiance with modern amenities, aiming to cater to a wider audience seeking a unique lifestyle experience that embodies individuality, character, and unparalleled service. The partnership, allowing Treasure Island to leverage Accor's expansive travel services, enhances the property's global visibility and entertains the idea of offering guests a memorable vacation complete with travel, entertainment, and an unrivaled stay.
